Field Trips
At Wonderland, we believe very strongly in quality field trips for the children and generally go on abut 5 to 7 field trips per school year. These trips reinforce the cognitive learning that the child learns in the classroom; teaches the children good manners during field trips; and, just as importantly, teaches children what to expect from a good field trip - teaches them to be discerning educational customers!
Some of the typical field trips the children at Wonderland Charter School have gone on in the past include trips to:
• Ways’ Fruit Farm
• Altoona Railroad Museum
• Centre Crest Nursing Home
• Indian Caverns
• Penn's Cave
• Murmac Farms
• Carousel Horse Farm
• Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts
• Pennsylvania State Museum
We often put “PhotoShows” on the school web site for parents to share in their child’s enjoyment and education. Click on the link below to view one of the last of six field trips the children participated in this year.
Note: Click on the tab 'Full Screen' at the bottom center of the screen to enjoy the show in a large format & make sure you click on the speaker icon to hear the music that goes with the PhotoShow!
Enjoy the show!
