Field Trips
At Wonderland, we believe very strongly in quality field trips for the children. These trips reinforce the cognitive learning that the child learns in the classroom; teaches the children good manners during field trips; and, just as importantly, teaches children what to expect from a good field trip - teaches them to be discerning educational customers!
Some of the typical field trips the children at Wonderland Charter School have gone on in the past include trips to:
• Ways’ Fruit Farm
• Altoona Railroad Museum
• Indian Caverns
• Carousel Horse Farm
• Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts
• Pennsylvania State Museum
We often put “PhotoShows” on the school web site for parents to share in their child’s enjoyment and education. Click on the link below to gain an appreciation of what a field trip early in the school year was like for the children attending this year.
